A very good pair of WW1 British Officer’s High Lace up Boots, absolutely typical of those seen in period images of the Royal Flying Corps.
Overall condition is very good, both Boots are completely without damage of any kind and appear never to have been re soled apart from the heals.
The leather is soft and supple with all stitching intact and their general appearance suggest little use.
The throat of each leg carries a manufacturer’s logo followed by a block stamped “The Hallmark of Quality”. I assume the laces are not original but are very well suited.
Shoe length is approximately 28 cms toe to heal.
A perfect match to the RFC Coat I have just listed
