A War Office supplied Cap / Beret Badge for British War Correspondents constructed with a gilt C in relief on a half dome surrounded by endless cable backed with a green cloth discs.
Under the terms of the Geneva Convention War Correspondents and other civilians serving alongside the armed services were to be treated as officers if they wore a recognised uniform.
Very good condition perhaps unissued condition with no damage
