The first I have ever personally seen, this Early Luftwaffe Pilots Qualification Badge is hand embroidered in a twisted Celleon or silk thread rather than the often seen silver rolled wire and most probably worn on a Fliegerbluse.
Privately purchased and of the highest quality the backing is the ribbed blue grey Tricot wool typical of the cloth used for an officer or privately tailored tunic or Fliegerbluse.
A very scarce Badge in very good condition.
