An early German officer’s Brown Leather Belt with claw buckle worn typically by Army and Luftwaffe Officers.
This is the early pattern with provision for the wear of a cross strap accommodated by two inside leather panels to which the cross strap attached. On the 12 February 1940 an order prohibited the further use of the strap.
The Belt is closed by a two pronged buckle with a pebbled silvered finish.
Overall condition is very good, the leather remaining supple and free from damage but with some loss to the stitching on one of the interior cross strap panels.
