German Personal First Aid Kit

German Personal First Aid Kit

Code: 10376

SOLD

A wartime German Personal Medical Kit recovered from the Danish Island of Bornholm in the Baltic.
The Pouch measures approximately 180mm x 100mm when closed and is held shut by a classic Ri - Ri zip, so often encountered on wartime German equipment. The zip works perfectly but the leather pull tab is detached although present.
Inside there are leather loops to accommodate first aid items, all of which are present and comprise, three dressing packets, one in a rubberised packing, two empty bottles, an ointment jar and a pair of scissors marked Germany. In addition there is an unused pack of five “Verwundete” labels to attach to wounded patients. There is an eagle and Swastika ink stamp. I take this not to be original but added to enhance something that certainly had no need to be enhanced.
