An attractive and functional Compass by the prolific Italian instrument maker, Inc A Salmoirachi, Milan.
Purported to be from a vehicle it has a diameter of 103 mm with a silvered dial showing the cardinal points and an inner ring calibrated in the usual 360 degrees.
There is a locking arm and a hinged brass fitting bracket.
Overall condition is very good. My best guess is that this may be from the driver’s position in an armoured vehicle.
