A particular nice example of an early Aluminium die stamped and Gilt washed Kriegsmarine other ranks Belt Buckle, by Richard Sieper & Sohne.
Free from damage the Buckle retains most of the gilt wash with minor scratches only to the plain field and some wear to the breast of the eagle.
Raised from the stamping on the reverse are the initials of the maker, R.S & S.
