Web or "Tropical" version of the straps designed to secure the blanket and/ or greatcoat to the Tornister Packs or A-frames.
These were used as a general purpose strap to secure all manner of gear- except mess tins. They are not long enough.
Tornister straps have an extra, quick-release strap sewn to the buckle-end to allow for attaching and releasing gear, which is bound by the strap, without having to unroll it.
This original example in olive green is in excellent possibly unused condition and ink stamped to a maker in Prag in 1942
