A very good and complete German Red Cross Vehicle Pennant, permitted to be flown by all members of the DRK- Readiness Units (male and female) not holding the position of unit leader. The person must have been in uniform and in the service of the DRK.
Measuring approximately 32cms x 22cms the pennant is double sided and features the Red Cross emblem printed on an off white field of linen or heavy cotton weave. Three nickel plated angled trims hold the celluloid covers in place and whilst overall condition of the entire Pennant is very good, the covers have splits and cracks but are without loss.
Two aluminium brackets hold the Pennant to the nickel plated fixing pole which retains the acorn finial and fixing nut for attachment to the wing (fender). The pole is in two parts with matching numbers, perhaps to allow it to be removed with ease when not needed.
