A good and really very unusual Luftwaffe general's Car Pennant formed on a thin flexible Bakelite or Masonite board with a Luftwaffe grey finish and golden eagle decal with features picked out in silver. The Pennant is the correct oversize for those intended for General officers and measures 40cms x 25cms.
This variation was of course weatherproof and could be flown without the need for a foul weather cover. Overall condition is very good with minor loss to the finish along the edges and some crazing through flexing. Holes have been drilled top an bottom on the vertical edge to allow for fixing to a pole.
Only the third of this material I have seen, the previous example being for army regular officers both having be manufactured by the firm of Walter Goldbach, Berlin-Wilmersdorf 1. This example does not however bear a maker's name.
