A very nice example of a Luftwaffe Officer's Fliegermütze (Officer’s side or overseas cap) tailored, I believe privately, in a high quality ribbed wool material of the type generally associated with wear by officers.
Each side panel is finished with the silver aluminium braid of an officer, while the second pattern eagle and rosette are in a machine embroidered cotton.
Lined with an undamaged grey cotton cloth showing very little signs of use and stamped with the Berlin makers name. Although unmarked, the size would appear to be about 58 cms.
