A very good if a little unusual example of a Panzer M34 Field Cap.
The cap is in very good condition and constructed in a wool / rayon mix with absolutely no moth or other damage. The eagle is machine embroidered BeVo weave hand applied while the cockade appears to have been cut down from a trapezoid and is perhaps a replacement.
The soutache is originally applied with the “tuck in†under flaps retaining its original and unmistakable pink hue.
Inside, the cap is lined in a grey cotton in very good condition but without stamps.
The anomaly is the lack of ventilation grommets, questions asked via the Wehrmacht Awards Forum suggesting this is possibly a foreign made example.
