A fine example of a completely untouched EF64 M40 Normany Camouflage helmet with a lot number of 491.
The shell is without damage and retains perhaps 80% of the green tan and brown camouflage finish which appears to have been applied over an overall tan. Although the camouflage has been spray applied there is evidence of perhaps a brush applied portion, perhaps to the earlier tan paint.
On the left side is the obvious ghost of a decal under the paint.
Inside, the liner is complete but a little dry with just one tongue end pulled away from the drawstring and one or two minor splits.
The chinstrap is strong with some light surface cracks but no splits.
A very nice and completely unmolested origin example.
