An extremely attractive example of a 1939 Iron Cross Second Class by Wachtler und Lange complete with the highly desirable Knights Cross style case.
The Cross itself in non maker marked, the manufacturer determined by design. The core is magnetic, the original finish perfect, the frame retains most of the original frosting.
Above the Cross a full length ribbon is correctly folded and sits in the recess in the vervet lined case.
The Case is no less pleasing. Both hinge and release button are without damage and operate as they should, the Case with just the slightest rubbing at the edges.
A lovely example which would prove difficult to upgrade.
