An exceptionally nice Kriegsmarine Officer’s White Summer Uniform comprising, Tunic, Trousers and Waistcoat.

A good large size, the Tunic carries the label of the Offizierkleiderkasse der Kriegsmarine in Keil, a non profit making organization established to allow officers to purchase their own uniforms with payment deducted from their monthly salary. Tailored in a ribbed cotton mix it has four patch and flapped pleated pockets each closed by a  single gilded Kriegsmarine button matching the four front closure buttons, all dated and most by the Berlin maker Maedicke.

Above the right breast pocket is a nice pin back gilded zinc Eagle and Swastika whilst on each shoulder are the T post removable Shoulder Boards of a Fregattenkapitan with the silver golden pip and Naval Artillery career devise.

The Waistcoat is of the standard waffle pattern closed by three small removable gilded buttons, the back with an adjustable strap with claw buckle. There is slight damage at the neck where the tailor’s label has been removed, no doubt to remove the owner’s name.

Finally, the matching Trousers carry the stamp of a supply depot with a July 1938 date. They are closed by 5 front buttons and have belt loops and side adjustment straps with claw buckles along with internal buttons for braces.

Overall condition of all elements is very good.
