A seldom seen variant pair of late war Luftwaffe Flying Boots constructed in a soft brown leather and sheepskin, most examples of this style featuring black leather.
The shoe section is leather which continues upwards to mid calf. A strap with sprung friction buckle sits across the ankle to secure the boot in place during such things as a parachute descent.
Above the leather the boot finishes with a panel of raw sheepskin with yet another strap with friction buckle.
On the inner side of each Boot is a full length nylon RiRi zip, both working perfectly.
Both shoe and calf sections are fully lined with sheep fur and both soles are “Original Wilop”, showing very little wear. Both Boots have clear RB numbers and are dated 44 with a shoe size 27 (cms) and a heal to toe length of 29 ½ cms.
Overall condition is very good. The fur is without loss, the sheepskin panel of the left Boot with a split which I have shown in the images and both Boots show evidence of earlier repairs to these areas.
