An unissued example of a Luftwaffe ‘Drillich’ (HBT) Combat Field Blouse (Feldbluse). Constructed in a mid war reed green, cotton/rayon blend Herringbone Twill material, the Blouse is in excellent condition, free from damage or stains of any kind.
There are four pockets each with a rectangular rayon lined flap closed by a single pebbled button, secured by the correct S clip. The breast pockets are patch type whilst the lower pockets are of the bellows variety.
There is a six-button front closure using the same type of buttons, each again with its S clip and a lay flat collar with a metal hook and loop neck closure.
On the right breast is the originally applied Luftwaffe eagle in a machine constructed thread and on each shoulder are the slip on shoulder straps appropriate through to the rank of a Flak Hauptgefreiter, each again secured by a matching pebbled button with S clip.
The interior is unlined, grey rayon being used for reinforcements at the seams and the dressings pocket on the lower right side. On the right are the size markings while the dressings pocket carries an Rb. Number. There is a hanging loop and all buttons are in place for the neck protector.
A quite outstanding example which would be impossible to upgrade.
