Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original parade-mounted ribbon with a horizontal pinback, constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on top of an oval oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, weighing 39.25 grams (inclusive of ribbon and mounting), in near mint condition.
