Royal Flying Corps Type Private Purchase Fur Gauntlets by Dents

A very good pair of WW1 period Fur Backed Gauntlets absolutely in keeping with those used by the Royal Flying Corps.

Made by Dents and without doubt a private purchase piece the Gauntlets have a dense fur exterior upper, the underside in brown soft leather. Towards the upper edge a leather strap allows them to be drawn tight and secured in two positions by “Castle” type press fasteners, absolutely in keeping with the period, the female with an orange Dents marked cap.

Inside, the Gauntlet section is lined with a long sheep fur, the glove with wool. The Dents label is present in both gauntlets.

Overall condition is very good with no loss to the fur, the leather still soft.
