Continuing with the theme of 1940 dated British uniform items are these ’37 Pattern “Battle Dress Trousers Serge” in a good size 10 for a 31-32” waist and a clear 1940 dated label.
Overall condition is very good with no damage and no moth holes although some of the dished brass buttons are missing.
Each Trouser leg is fitted with a tab strap and two buttons at the end to allow the Trousers to be gathered under the gaiters. On the right leg is a small dressings pocket with a dart rather than pleat and this remains stitched closed. On the left leg is the deep map pocket, the flap closed by a single button.
The fly and waistband are closed by 5 buttons of which only 2 remain, the waistband with 4 wide belt loops with buttons, two buttons to secure the blouse and 6 buttons for the braces. At each side is a single slash pocket with a single flapped and buttoned pocket is at at the rear.
A perfect complement for the previously listed ’37 Pattern Blouse.
