SOLD

A quite superb example of a Kriegsmarine two Piece Multipaneled Leather Suit in a sea green leather in unissued condition and completely free from damage of any kind.

Often referred as a U–Boat Suits to enhance their appeal, these suits were worn by all Kriegsmarine deck crews (including U-Boats) with the black variant worn by engine room etc. personnel.

The jacket is single breasted with a row of five grey Kriegsmarine buttons and a single hook and eye closing it at the front. There is a single flapped left breast pocket and two flapped hip pockets. Each cuff has a strap with two matching buttons for adjustment. Inside, there is a single pocket and leather hooks for hangers, the lining in a dark grey wool. The manufacture’s is dated 1942 but there is no KM inspection stamp in the leather, supporting the theory that this set was never issued.

The Trousers are in similarly unissued condition with a four button fly and hook and eye at the waist. Around the waistband are buttons for the heavy braces and each side is slash pocket. There is a manufacture’s label dated 1942 and an adjustment strap and claw buckle at the back.

It would be difficult to upgrade this kriegsmarine suit.
