A Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager Soldbuch belonging to Obergefreiter Eiting who served with Fallschirmjager-Regiment 17, part of 6. Fallschirmjäger-Division.
Overall condition is fair to good with some water damage and some pages stuck together.
The inside front cover has a good photograph of Eiting whilst page 1 gives dates of his promotion, blood group etc. Page 2 gives his date of birth, physical details and unit in April 1940 a Luftwaffe construction Company.
Page 4 shows the units he served in whilst page 5 gives his family details. Pages 5 and6 are stuck together and followed by pages of kit issue, the last one stuck to page 7.
Page 8 shows him with 5/fliegerausbildungsregiment 33 (a Luftwaffe training school) where he has weapons issued, page 9 showing his innoculations. He appears to have suffered from eye trouble and pages 12 and 13 show five admissions to hospital, two on the island of Crete.
Page 17 shows the first entries showing Fallschirmjager-Regiment 17, part of 6. Fallschirmjäger-Division from 23.7.43 – 22.8.44.
An additional page, detached from the main pages appears to show him in combat on the 31.10.44 perhaps in Holland but an official stamp obscures most of the detail.
