A fascinating piece of cold war aviation memorabilia from what I believe was the golden age of British aircraft design, is this Centre of Gravity Computer for the Valiant V Force Bomber, later tanker.
The Slide Rule Computer is in excellent condition, fully functioning and complete with what appears to be a station made hinged aluminium case. Although the press fastener has pulled through the leather closure tab on the lid, the case itself is in very good condition and scratch marked, XD873, 207 Sqn, Marham, 1963.
Due to structural problems these beautiful aircraft were retired in 1965.
