A very good pair of Luftwaffe Tropical Shorts constructed in the same Khaki drill as the long trousers but reached down to the knees only and with slightly widening legs.
Typically seen in period photographs rolled up slightly they have a partly concealed waist belt with friction buckle supplemented in this case by the addition of five period applied belt loops to accommodate the use of the service belt.
Front closure is by two buttons at the waist and four fly buttons. There are two slash pockets and two rear flapped and buttoned pockets. The waistband carries some stores stamps.
The shorts are without damage with a few white surface marks at the front which I feel would wash off.
