An excellent and perhaps unissued example of a Third Pattern Heer Tropical Tunic constructed in lightweight ribbed, khaki/olive, cotton twill.
Free from any signs of damage or wear the Tunic has two patch breast pockets and two lower pockets, all with flaps and closed with dished zinc grey pebbled buttons. Closure to the Tunic itself is by five identical buttons. All buttons are held in place by their correct removable S rings.
Above the right breast pocket is the BeVo weave tropical eagle which appears to have been originally applied, the lower part resecured perhaps later by hand. The lay down collar has the original factory fitted Litzen. Each shoulder has a loop and single stitched button for shoulder straps.
Each cuff has an opening with two composite buttons to allow for adjustment.
Inside, there is a dressings pocket and stores stamping showing what looks to be chest size of 36”. No depot or date stamps are visible.
