Printed in Cairo in 1943 “We Saw it Happen” is a compilation of the Official War Paintings of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force in Crete and Libya by the Artist, Captain Peter McIntire who has also signed the front cover in ink.
There are 32 black and white reproductions of McIntire’s original paintings undertaken by him from sketches he made at the time in 1941 and covering the parachute landings in Crete, the attack on the at Sidi Rezegh and the tank battle at Belhamed.
Measure 272mm x 195mm the Booklet is in very good complete and undamaged condition
