Acquired I am told in the 1960’s by a Member of the World Health Organisation from a small museum in Turkey during his time there, is this Trench Marker purported to be from Gallipoli.
Standing some 46cms in height and constructed with a vertical copper tubular pole and prongs supporting a bleached wooden sign with painted numerals each side. Along the upper edge of the sign is inscribed in pencil “ Trench marker Gallipoli 1915”
