A lovely example of the British Army 1908 Pattern Webbing Small Pack, this remaining nicely unblancoed. The Pack is clearly dated 1916 to the inside flap and appears to have been issued to a soldier in the Scottish Rifles as the flap also bears the letters “SR” along with the remains of a serial number.
Condition is very good overall with no damage. The original issue colour of the webbing remains strong with just a small amount of rust staining .
In WW1 the Scottish Rifles (or Cameronians) fought in France & Flanders, Gallipoli, Salonika, Egypt and Palestine.
