A very good, perhaps theatre adapted example of an RAF Officer’s 1918 Pattern Gilded Metal Cap Badge.
The entire Badge sits on a black cloth backing mounted on a brass plate by means of prongs, the plate with a hinged pin set up and closure hook. The hook is slightly bent allowing the pin to spring out.
Overall condition is very good, the red velvet cap sitting short of the arch as with a real crown.
