A good service used 1938 dated B Type Flying Helmet by Frank Bryan in a size 2.
Overall condition is very good. The leather remains supple with slight loss of colour to the high points on some of the seams and a little flaking to the chrome leather on the lower panel of the left zip ear cover.
Both Bennett’s buckles have their leather covering with the maker’s name on the buckle themselves. The zips to the ear covers operates well and are without damage whilst their shape is maintained by an original pair of AM marked sponges in good condition. The female press fasteners for the oxygen mask are the early nickel plated variety.
Inside, the chamois lining shows typical service use but is completely without damage with the service number 1154276 clearly visible.
