A very nice example of a 1940 dated Service Dress Tunic to a Captain in the York and Lancaster Regiment.
Tailored in Sheffield the Tunic is constructed in the standard Barathea of the period with four pleated and flapped pockets, the shoulder straps with the pips of a Captain, the collars with the York and Lancaster collar badges. All brass buttons are to the regiment.
Overall condition is very good with just three very small moth nips, the white marks showing in the images being simply dust highlighted by the flash.
Chest size approx 38”
