I’ve always rather liked these later war 1937 Pattern Waistbelts introduced I understand as an economy measure during 1943
This late war production example shows the manufacturing economy measures. The fittings are still brass, but the brass tabs at the ends are gone, and the smaller double hooks are sewn directly to the ends of the Belt. The brass slides have also gone and been replaced by webbing ones. The belt is made of flat-loop belting.
Nicely dated 1944, I can’t make out the manufacturer details but it appears to be MeCo. Although in its present setting it measures 32” it would extent to 36” with ease.
Very good condition but Blancoed.
