An exceptionally rare pair of 1944 dated Kriegsmarine Officer’s Black Leather Uniform Ankle Boots. This is the first pair I have ever been able to offer or indeed seen for sale.
Constructed with a smooth black leather with elasticated sides and a leather sole they are identical to those shown on page 303 of Eduardo Delgrado’s book, “Deutsche Kriegsmarine, Unforms Insignia and Equipment of the German Navy, 1933-1945” and feature the very noticeable V shaped seam at the inside ankle of each Boot. There are loops at the opening front and back to aid fitting.
Inside, they are line in natural leather and size marked 42 ½, the elastic clearly marked 3.7.44, their date of acceptance at the Wilhelmshaven depot.
Overall condition is very good with just one notieable hole in the inside top of the elastic right Boot. The soles are original as are the heals which are slightly worn down at the back.
An excellent pair of boots
