A very nice example of a 1945 dated British Army Mk1V (Turtle) Helmet which entered service in 1943 and most associated with wear by Canadian troops from D Day onwards.
The shell retails most of the original wartime dark brown granulated finish and has just one small dent to the crown.
The liner is very good with light surface cracks only and with the drawstring present but only partially threaded through the liner loops. Fibre bands and crown pad are again very good, the Mk11 liner band marked 6 ¾ and 1945. Finally, the is chinstrap is without damage and retains it’s elasticity.
