Although generally associated with their wartime activities, British Army Tunnelling Companies also saw service in World War Two, notably in Gibraltar.
During the time he was station their between 1942 and 45, private Sid Scott of 172 Tunnelling Company collected some 30 + copies of the locally published “The Rock”, sold locally for 3 old pence. Although with limited military information (for obvious reasons) they give a pleasing insight into life in Gibraltar for the allied servicemen.
I believe rather scarce they are in a mix of condition from very good to poor but all are readable.
Also included is a Postcard Photograph of Sid and two Christmas cards.
