A nice, I believe uniform removed but full length, Afrika Korps Cufftitle with dark green cotton centre stripe with diagonally ribbed horizontal bright silver/aluminium flat-wire edge trim and narrow horizontal tan rayon borders to both the top and bottom edges. The dark green centre stripe features machine woven block Latin script, "Afrikakorps", in bright silver/aluminium flat-wire threads.
To the right of the script in the are two mostly surface cuts forming a V shape and there is some light staining most obvious to the tan sections which show well in the images.
Cufftitle was officially introduced on July 18th, 1941, for wear by members of the, DAK, Deutsches Afrikakorps, the German expeditionary force sent to assist the Italians in their disastrous North African campaign.
