A nicely matched pair of antique Mexican Charro Spurs in heavy iron with a silver inlay.
The outsides are decorated with diagonal silver strips whilst the insides have an ornate floral pattern, the fittings for the spinning rowels with a different less complicated design.
Both ankle straps are in a heavily embossed leather, closed with a single buckle, then joined on one side with a Western flower button.
Believed to date from between 1850 and 1900 the Spurs are in overall very good condition with two silver diagonal strips slightly detached and one leather strap showing surface wear as it passes through the buckle. The straps remain supple.
Very nice decorative pieces
