A nicely matched ATS pair comprising:
ATS Hat in Khaki serge with pleated crown, hat band with ATS brass slider badge, soft peak and turned up back flap. The chinstrap is in brown leather with brass buckles. Inside, the lining is ribbed rayon with a WD inspectors stamp “O” for 1942. Excellent condition with absolutely no damage.
ATS Handbag in khaki cotton canvas, the panels trimmed with an imitation leather beading and closed with a brass zip with a DOT pull. The shoulder strap is leather, joined by plated D rings and adjusted by a claw buckle. Inside, the bag is stamped CWS (Co-Operative workers society) 1945 with Newcastle just visible. Very good condition with one surface crack to the leather strap and loss to the covering of the beading.
