An unissued example of a 1945 dated Tank Crew Oversuit in excellent unissued condition, free from damage and missing only three press fasteners at the ankles and one from the detachable hood.
Although a small size one, the size is perfect for a mannequin display. All zips are original Dot and as with the rest of the suit are in perfect condition and fully operational. The detachable hood is in identical unissued condition.
Also for some bizarre reason known as a Pixie Suit they first appeared in July 1943 and were made to fit loosely in the confines of a tank. It is lined with Angora wool with reinforcement patches sewn into the elbow, knee and seat. There are numerous pockets and a pencil holder all at the front of the suit along with others inside. Inside, adjustable braces support the weight of the suit and allow a wounded crew member to lifted out of the tank. Full length zips also made the suit easily removable.
Now becoming hard to find, especially in this excellent condition
