Cased Luftwaffe Observer's Badge in Tombac by Assmann

An excellent and cased example of what I have always thought of as the most attractive of the Luftwaffe aircrew badges, the Observer’s Badge.

Generally considered as the most desirable makers of the Observer Badge because of the quality and detail, this piece is by Assman in tombac and is complete with its origin early presentation case with vervet covered insert.

Overall condition of both Badge and case is very good, the badge displaying just light service use only, with no damage, the case condition commensurate with the very good condition of the Badge. The Assmann logo is raised from the casting on the badge and although clearly visible in hand, it does not display way in the photographs.

A quite beautiful example.
