The last item from this Chindit collection is a locally made Cigarette Case.
Constructed in aluminium the Case measures approximately 145mm x 76mm and has been painstakingly had engraved, featuring the Chindit Chinthe, a mythical creature, half lion, half dragon and guardians of Burmese pagodas, on one side and the Royal Artillery Coat of Arms on the other. In the top left hand corner of the lid are the initials JH.
Overall condition is very good with the elasticity gone from the retaining strap.
