Early Concave Deumer L11 Iron Cross First Class with Original Case

An excellent and relatively scarce example of an early concave produced 1939 Iron Cross First Class by the Deumer, complete with its original and correct, Deumer marked case.

The Cross is manufactured with a silver plated neusilber frame and a black finished magnetic iron core, the frame retaining the original factory frosted and burnished finish albeit with minor patination, the core unmarked and with the original black finish intact.

To the reverse the typical Deumer pin set up is without damage and functions correctly. Slightly below the C catch the LDO code L/11 (Deumer) is impressed into the frame, this being the early mark not contained within a rectangular border. Weight 16.36 grams.

The original case is no less impressive. Without rounded corners and in excellent condition, the lower left side of the lining to the lid marked Wilhelm Deumer Ludenscheld.
