A particularly nice example of an early SA Dagger by Kuna Ritter, Solingen which meets all the desirable factors associated with early productions pieces.
Overall condition is very good. The pommel nut and fittings are solid nickel silver, the crossguard stamped Nrh for the Gau of Niederrhein in North West Germany on the Dutch border. The hardwood grip has a nickel eagle fitting perfectly into the grip, as does the SA roundel. All are free from any form of damage or distress.
The nickel plated blade has no nicks or bends and shows only draw marks and pressure marks from the springs at the scabbard throat. Both the inscription and makers name are clear with the original depth and darkening.
The scabbard is no less pleasing. The fittings are free from damage with no flattening to the ball end and the scabbard itself retains most of the factory anodized finish and is free from dents or other damage.
