Early Fallschirmjäger badge by JMME. Nickel silver wreath with a gilded tombak eagle. With full maker mark.
This is a true JMME manufactured badge with all JMME parts (JMME sometimes used Juncker parts, but "true" JMME Paras are much more desirable).
Overall, in very good condition with just light service wear, pin and hinge setup without damage or bends.
Close examination shows two minor surface stress cracks in the wreath at the 12 o’clock position on the obverse, but these are just surface cracks, have no significant depth and are not apparent on the top or back of the wreath. They in fact extremely common on both JMME and Juncker Badges are a good indication of an original piece.
Rare and very desirable.
