A very nice example of a S84/98 Bayonet with scabbard.
The Bayonet itself is in very good condition with an excellent and undamaged blade retaining about 90% of it’s original high quality blueing. The ricasso is stamped 41 asw to one side and 9543d to the other.
The Bakelite grips are without damage as are the fittings, the pommel head with two waffenampt stamps. The release button works smoothly.
The scabbard is again very good but mis matched to the Bayonet. It appears to have perhaps been paired to a dress bayonet initially and shows black enamel finish with the high quality blueing underneath. The throat is marked Durkopp 37 and 9652p. The chape tip is waffenamt stamped.
