A good example of a non maker marked Kriegsmarine Dagger with plain blade.
The gilded brass eagle sits snugly to the white celluloid wire bound grip which is free from cracks or notable damage.
The crossguard retains most of the original fire gilding, the release button working well. The red felt buffer remains in place.
The plain blade is full length, completely free from damage and remains bright, appearing never to have been polished. A fine example.
The scabbard is free from dents, but close examination does show a very slight curve, no doubt having been sat on at some time. This has not affected the blad. Attached to the lower scabbard ring are the remains of one of the hangers with a good working clip.
There is a little slack between the dagger and the scabbard throat when in place, presumably the result of slight wear over the years.
