Not to be confused with the cheap automatic copies being offered today, this pre 1945 Kriegsmarine Mechanical Wristwatch has a case diameter of approximately 31mm and is very good original condition.
Intended to be waterproof, antimagnetic and shockproof, Selzar was one of a number of makers who produced basic wristwatches for the Kriegsmarine.
The case is nickel plated brass, the dial is white with the KM property mark at 12.00 and a subsidiary second dial at 6.00. The hands or pointers are of the skeletal type infilled with luminous paint which in this case remains intact.
The Watch runs well but loses about five minutes a day and will need regulating. It will arrive working but due to its age is of course not guaranteed and will no doubt need servicing one day.
The strap is not original.
