A nicely matched pair of Kriegsmarine Slip on Shoulder Boards (Schulterstucke) for a Korvettenkapitain.
Interwoven rows of silver wire with an intermittent cotton flek with a dark blue wool backing and single slip on strap.
Attachment is by a single threaded grommet for sewing to the garment shoulder and secured by a fire gilded screw post button, the buttons in this case dated 1940 and by the maker FLL.
Prescribed wear is for leather and weather greatcoats, leather jackets, U-Boat Blouses, white tropical shirts and on brown field blouses and shirts.
Very good condition but with slight moth damage to the underside of one board.
