From my own collection is this virtually mint example of a Summer Tunic Eagle worn by Kriegsmarine Officers on the white tunic.
By far the most desirable of these eagle are those constructed of gilded aluminium and made by the firm of Maedicke, as we have here.
The obverse consists of a finely detailed Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a wreath and mobile swastika, the reverse with an integral barrel hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked “M” for Maedicke.
It would be difficult to upgrade this excellent example
