A very good working example of a Luftwaffe Junghans Borduhr Cockpit Clock, BO-UK-1, Fl23385, used on numerous Luftwaffe aircraft types.
This is the third version of the type and dates from 1940 -41. No data plate featured with this version and there is a plunger on the right side of the winding crown which frees the hands for time setting. The rotating bezel is of brass.
The clock runs well and keeps very good time. The stopwatch function operates but returns to a random position when zeroed. It should return to the 12 o’clock position.
Cosmetically it is very good retaining at least 95% of the factory paint finish with a clear BAL red stamp on the reverse.
Movement number 47173.
The stand featured in the images is not included. The last images shows one of these clocks in situ on a JU87 instrument panel.
